Caves Explorer is a wine cellar management software for restaurants, and it now exposes an MCP server. Your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral, Perplexity) connects directly to your cellar, and you talk to it like you would to your sommelier.

Once Caves Explorer is connected to your assistant, you talk to it like you would to a colleague who knows your cellar by heart.

Caves Explorer is added as a custom connector in the main AI assistants: Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral and Perplexity, as well as any client compatible with the MCP protocol. No app to install, no development on your side.

The connection starts from your Caves Explorer settings and ends in your AI assistant. It takes two minutes and only needs to be done once.

From your Caves Explorer settings

Log in to Caves Explorer and open your settings.
Go to the section dedicated to the AI connection.
Copy the URL of your MCP server.
In your assistant, add a custom connector and paste the URL.
Authenticate with your Caves Explorer credentials.

Adding a connector is done from a computer. Once configured, it remains available from the mobile app: you can query your cellar from your phone, in the dining room as well as in the cellar.

The procedure is equivalent on other compatible assistants: you look for the section dedicated to connectors or MCP servers in their settings, and you paste the same URL.

Access respects your account permissions: the assistant only sees what the logged-in user sees. Your data remains hosted in France and GDPR-compliant.

The Caves Explorer connector is offered in beta. The MCP protocol is recent and assistants keep evolving their support: some complex queries may need rephrasing, and the "add a connector" interface differs from one assistant to another.
